OLDSMAR, FL – (December 3, 2019) – During the City of Oldsmar’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, its newest Pop-Up Art Project was announced.
“Ribbon Trees” is an engaging, visual art display along State Street West in Oldsmar that transforms trees into works of art with cascading strands of ribbon and brightly wrapped tree trunks. The first of its kind in Pinellas County, this collective art project is increasing local community spirit and bringing regional awareness of the growing public art movement occurring with the City of Oldsmar.
Fourteen Oldsmar businesses participated in this public art project. During the Tree Lighting Ceremony, the City officially thanked these companies: Auto Styles, Classic Trak, Dogism, First Watch, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Lightning Technology Group/Thunder Media Group, MicroLumen, Nielsen, Point & Pay, Providence Painting, Sponaugle Wellness Institute, Stahl & Associates Insurance, Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Whole Aveda.
The vibrant displays of eye-catching layers of ribbons truly showcase Oldsmar’s creativity. Each company is recognized with a customized tree tag on their designated tree. This Pop Up-Art Project will remain on display until the start of the new year. For more information on this project, please visit OldsmarPopUpArt.com.
